Softball Recap: Carson Takes a Loss

Carson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Douglas, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Senators fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Senators in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Carson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiele Franco, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Cali Stagliano was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Carson's record now sits at 9-15-1. As for Douglas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

While Carson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
