Basketball Game Preview: Munday Moguls vs. Newcastle Bobcats

The Munday Moguls will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Newcastle Bobcats at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Munday nor Newcastle posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Munday is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since February 23rd last Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Milken an easy 55-29 win. The game marked the Moguls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Newcastle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Pantego Christian 64-24.

This is the second loss in a row for Munday and nudges their season record down to 12-5. As for Newcastle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Munday against Newcastle in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, as the squad secured a 63-34 victory. Does Munday have another victory up their sleeve, or will Newcastle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
