Basketball Recap: Lincoln Northwest Find Success

After only 30 points in their last contest, Lincoln Northwest made sure to put some points up on the board against Standing Bear on Tuesday. The Lincoln Northwest Falcons managed a 65-59 victory over the Standing Bear Grizzlies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-51 back in December of 2024.

Xavier Schwartz had a dynamite game for Lincoln Northwest, going 6-for-9 to rack up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Tayden Wynn, who posted nine points and five steals.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paul Hart, who went 6-for-14 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds. Sawyer Osborn was another key player, going 5-for-6 on his way to 15 points.

Lincoln Northwest's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Standing Bear, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Lincoln Northwest has already played their next match, a 76-48 defeat against Seward on the 6th. As for Standing Bear, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-51 loss against Gretna East on the 7th.
