Softball Recap: Catholic Wins Going Away Against Collegiate

Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Collegiate, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 23-17 victory on Tuesday. The Crusaders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The win made it two in a row for Catholic and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Collegiate, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-4 loss against Christchurch School on the 27th. As for Collegiate, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 21-0 defeat against Miller School of Albemarle on the 28th.
