Basketball Game Preview: Fairbury Jeffs vs. Milford Eagles

The Fairbury Jeffs will head out on the road to square off against the Milford Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fairbury is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 win over Schuyler on Friday.

Brodie Prellwitz had a dynamite game for Fairbury, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Prellwitz has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jonah Parrack, who scored five points.

Meanwhile, Milford had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Cowboys out 55-52.

Fairbury's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Milford, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Fairbury didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Milford when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 31-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairbury since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
