Basketball Recap: Beddingfield Triumphs

Beddingfield won the last time they faced Princeton and things went their way on Monday too. The Beddingfield Bruins narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Princeton Bulldogs 54-52.

When it comes to explaining why Princeton lost, don't look at Teo McPhatter. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 15 on his way to 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The game was McPhatter's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Lane, who posted 14 points.

Beddingfield's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Princeton, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beddingfield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Johnston at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Princeton, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Goldsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
