Dorman came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Powdersville Patriots by a score of 2-0. The Cavaliers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Dorman not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Powdersville between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17.

Reese Shugart paced Dorman's offense, picking up eight kills. Shugart got some help from Ramsey Larke Chastain and her 14 assists. Shugart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Dorman's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Powdersville, their loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
