Basketball Game Preview: Montcalm Generals vs. Meadow Bridge Wildcats

Montcalm and Meadow Bridge are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Montcalm Generals will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Meadow Bridge Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 13 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Montcalm and three for Meadow Bridge.

Back in December of 2024, Montcalm lost to Braxton County on the road by a 37-18 margin.

Meanwhile, Meadow Bridge played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 59-20 defeat at the hands of Greenbrier West. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Kierston Rozell was Meadow Bridge's leading scorer, having posted six points. Rozell also led the team in rebounds with four.

Meadow Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Montcalm, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Montcalm lost to Meadow Bridge at home by a decisive 36-22 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Montcalm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
