Softball Recap: Pullman's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

Pullman dropped their record down to 9-8 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 18-2 to the Deer Park Stags. The Greyhounds were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five matchups prior), but the Stags' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Deer Park, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

For Deer Park's part, Sammy Fausti was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most triples Fausti has posted since back in March. Jillian Marshall also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

While Pullman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
