Basketball Recap: Rylee Alexander's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crescent over Perry

Crescent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Perry Maroons, falling 71-47. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Maroons are ranked 134th).

Crescent lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rylee Alexander, who went 6 for 8 en route to 15 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Aja Adams-House was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Crescent's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Perry, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Crescent has already played their next contest (against Christian Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Perry, they will square off against Morrison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
