Basketball Game Preview: Buford Yellow Jackets vs. Andrew Jackson Volunteers

Buford is 0-10 against Andrew Jackson since December of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Buford Yellow Jackets will challenge the Andrew Jackson Volunteers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Buford turned things around against Walnut Grove Christian on Friday. They blew past the Christian Warriors 46-25. The game marked the Yellow Jackets' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They strolled past the Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 70-54. The Volunteers pushed the score to 57-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots cut but never quite recovered from.

Andrew Jackson's win came from a few key players Buford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryce Peterson, who made all 5 shots he took for 15 points. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zeke Clyburn, who posted 17 points.

Andrew Jackson's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
