Baseball Game Preview: Harrison Central Red Rebels vs. Biloxi Indians

For the second straight game, Harrison Central will face off against Biloxi. The Red Rebels will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Indians at 1:00 p.m.

Harrison Central fell victim to Biloxi and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Red Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Biloxi's part, not much got past Shawn Gollott, who gave up just a hit to keep Harrison Central off the board. Gollott also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Indians are 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Biloxi got a massive performance out of Gage Dalferes, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI. Those three hits gave Dalferes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connor Lofton, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Biloxi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Biloxi's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Harrison Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.
