Baseball Recap: Bad Axe Takes a Loss

Bad Axe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Memphis Yellowjackets, falling 12-2. On the bright side, the two- run performance marked the Hatchets' highest-scoring contest to date.

Bad Axe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Gordon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That run marked the first that Gordon has scored this season.

Bad Axe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Memphis, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Yellowjackets beat Bad Axe by a score of 6-2 later that day.
