Softball Recap: Mountain View Prep Stars vs. Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers

The Mountain View Prep Stars had just enough and edged out the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers 5-3 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stars.

Braley Richardson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Richardson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Mya Codispoti was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Bella Dalton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they will welcome Hickory Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ragin' Bulls have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
