Recap: Bennett Clippers vs. Pocomoke Warriors
The Bennett Clippers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 94-50 win over Pocomoke at home. Bennett has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
Pocomoke's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lamarquis Douglas, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Zymiere Walker, who scored eight points.
Bennett's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.2 points per game. As for Pocomoke, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennett will challenge Pocomoke at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pocomoke, they will head out on the road to challenge Kent County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Pocomoke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.
