Flag Football Recap: Service Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Service can now relate to. They took a blow against the South Anchorage Wolverines on Friday, falling 51-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Rachel Utic threw for 146 yards on 16 of 36 attempts. Tatum Poppy was her top target, picking up 77 receiving yards.

Brianna Bailey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Anchorage, rushing for 118 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards Bailey has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addison Bailey, who gained 115 total yards and a touchdown.

Service's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for South Anchorage, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Service wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 58-0 loss against Wasilla on the 11th. As for South Anchorage, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-0 win against Dimond on the 11th.
