Nemaha Central won the last time they faced Wamego and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunder walked away with a 2-0 win over the Red Raiders.

While Nemaha Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 26-24.

Macy Holthaus paced Nemaha Central's offense, picking up six kills. Holthaus got some help from Kennedy Carlson and her 12 assists. Holthaus also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Hermesch, each putting up two.

Nemaha Central's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Wamego, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Nemaha Central will take on Rossville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wamego, they will challenge Marysville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
