Basketball Recap: Weyauwega-Fremont Takes a Loss

Weyauwega-Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-68 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (61), the Warhawks still had to take the loss.

Weyauwega-Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Weyauwega-Fremont will square off against Manawa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Weyauwega-Fremont has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three contests. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, they will head out to face off against Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wittenberg-Birnamwood is facing Amherst at the right time seeing as Amherst is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
