John Paul the Great Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 46-26 margin over the Acadiana Christian Lions. The Guardians are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight dating back to last season.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Riley Lormand and Jonah Petitt. Lormand rushed for 203 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries while Petitt rushed for 180 yards and three scores on only 11 carries.
