Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Ranch Takes Down Ranked Melbourne

Lakewood Ranch faced Melbourne in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

Lakewood Ranch found their leader in sophomore Adalyn Huffman, who had 13 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Huffman.

Lakewood Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Melbourne, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Lakewood Ranch is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Manatee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Melbourne, they will take on Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
