Flag Football Game Preview: Seaside Spartans vs. Rancho San Juan Trailblazers

The Seaside Spartans will face off against the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seaside's offense hasn't had much luck over their past seven matchups, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seaside's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Pacific Collegiate on Tuesday. They lost 21-0 to the Pumas. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 706th, while the Pumas are ranked 196th).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Rancho San Juan sidestepped North Monterey County for a 14-12 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trailblazers.

Rancho San Juan's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Seaside, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Seaside suffered a grim 37-15 defeat to Rancho San Juan in their previous matchup back in September. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Spartans were down 23-0.
