Football Recap: Lee County Runs Past Harnett Central + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Johnston, Lee County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down the Harnett Central Trojans 33-19. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The critical scores for Lee County came from Cody Graham, Damien Prosser, Destry Smith, and Javonte Randall.

Lee County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Harnett Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Koby Howard, who threw for 343 yards and a pair of TDs. King Murdock was Howard's top target, picking up 104 receiving yards and one score.

Lee County's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Harnett Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee County will welcome Union Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 8.1 points per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Harnett Central, they will be playing at home against Southern Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
