Basketball Recap: Eisenhower Skates Past Wenatchee with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Eisenhower's strategy against Wenatchee on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eisenhower Cadets blew the Wenatchee Panthers out of the water with a 54-22 final score. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Eisenhower got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ariana Ramos out in front who went 6-for-12 en route to 15 points. Ramos continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nekha Roehl, who posted eight points in addition to 11 rebounds and four steals.

Eisenhower smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Eisenhower's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Wenatchee, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Coincidentally, Eisenhower and Wenatchee will both be playing West Valley the next time they take the court. Wenatchee will host West Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Eisenhower will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
