Football Game Preview: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Lane Tech Champions + Official Tickets

The Westinghouse Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Lane Tech Champions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Westinghouse's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Simeon on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, while Lane Tech put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Phillips. The Champions came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 13-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Champions.

Lane Tech didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Taylor Clay led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. That interception marked the first that Gabriel Xerogianes White has snagged this season.

Lane Tech's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Westinghouse, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Westinghouse and Lane Tech were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, but Westinghouse came up empty-handed after a 22-21 loss. Thankfully for the Warriors, Noah Mayra (who rushed for 63 yards and one score on only seven carries, and also threw for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time.
