            Softball Preview: Point Arena Pirates vs. Tomales Braves        
        
		
        
        
            The Point Arena Pirates will head out on the road to  take on  the Tomales Braves  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Point Arena has given up an average of 14.2  runs per game this season, but Tuesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Point Arena is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. Everything went their way against Laytonville on Thursday as Point Arena made off with  a  25-13 victory. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.

 Hattie Piper was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Serina Azbill, who  went 4-for-5 with six  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 Point Arena was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laytonville only posted a  batting average of  .333.
 Meanwhile, Tomales came up short against California School for the Deaf on Thursday and fell  8-5.
 The  victory was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Tomales, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
