Baseball Game Preview: Kermit Yellow Jackets vs. Tahoka Bulldogs

The Kermit Yellow Jackets will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Tahoka Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kermit is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Midland Classical Academy.

Mauricio Perez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tahoka came up short against Lamesa on Friday and fell 11-6.

Jordan Hicks was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Dante Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Tahoka always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lamesa only posted an OBP of .407.
