Softball Recap: North Mesquite Takes a Loss

North Mesquite fell victim to Wilson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Stallions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

North Mesquite saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Destiny Arias, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

North Mesquite has also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Wilson, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Mesquite is set to take on their familiar foe Samuell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wilson will face off against rival West Mesquite at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
