Basketball Game Preview: Shadle Park Highlanders vs. Ridgeline Falcons

The Shadle Park Highlanders will venture away from home to challenge the Ridgeline Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Shadle Park turned things around against North Central on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 52-42.

Meanwhile, Ridgeline waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 55-40 victory over the Tigers. The Falcons pushed the score to 44-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Shadle Park better keep an eye on Madilyn Crowley. She was instrumental in Ridgeline's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. The contest was Crowley's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Myers, who posted ten points and four steals.

Ridgeline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Shadle Park's record now sits at 2-4. As for Ridgeline, their record now sits at 4-2.

Shadle Park suffered a grim 58-32 defeat to Ridgeline in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Shadle Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
