Basketball Recap: South Webster Sets Scoring Season-High Against Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Webster). They blew past the Valley Indians 80-52 on Friday. The Jeeps haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Webster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Roberts, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. Roberts' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Brycin McClintic, who went 6-for-8 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds.

South Webster pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points over those games. As for Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9.

South Webster has already played their next contest, a 58-39 victory against Waverly on the 15th. As for Valley, they will challenge Paint Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
