Basketball Game Preview: Moline Maroons vs. Normal Community Ironmen

The Moline Maroons will challenge the Normal Community Ironmen at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Moline saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pecatonica. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Normal Community faced Washington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Normal Community received a blow as they fell 61-43 to Washington. The Ironmen's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Moline now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Normal Community, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2.

Moline was taken down by Normal Community 66-18 when the teams last played back in February. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Moline was down 34-7.
