Basketball Recap: Dublin's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Dublin came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners with a 50-46 victory on Saturday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 71-33 defeat the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Rocky Hill Country Day lost, don't look at Lily Sokol. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Sokol a new career-high in blocks (four). Delilah Tully was another key player, putting up seven points.

Rocky Hill Country Day now has a losing record at 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dublin will head out to take on Hyde at 2:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Rocky Hill Country Day, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wheeler at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th.
