Volleyball Recap: Maria Binder and Addison Jenkins Secure Win for Hoover + How To Watch

Hoover proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Thompson Warriors 3-2. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hoover wouldn't go down easily and took Thompson into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 24-26, 15-11.

Leading Hoover to victory were Addison Jenkins and Maria Binder. Jenkins had ten digs and two aces, while Binder had 18 digs. With that strong performance, Jenkins is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Thompson, their defeat ended a ten-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Hoover will host Oak Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thompson, they will venture away from home to take on Huntsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
