Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Minarets Mustangs, falling 76-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 55-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Riverdale now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Minarets, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Riverdale will head out on the road to square off against Yosemite at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverdale is facing Yosemite at the right time seeing as Yosemite is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Minarets has already played their next game (against Caruthers), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
