Aledo put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Birdville Hawks, posting a 56-7 win. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Hawks are ranked 327th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aledo had a senior duo take command as Kaden Winkfield rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries and Rudy Moya rushed for 96 yards and one TD. Moya's longest rush was for an incredible 98 yards. Another player making a difference was Nash Mcelree, who threw for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Aledo proved: they limited Birdville to a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Kaeden Weaver for the heroic effort on defense: he. Aledo didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged nine.

Aledo's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Birdville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
