Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln fell victim to Whiteford and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Railsplitters' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lincoln saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bria Powell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. McKaylie Kern also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Whiteford, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will host Saline at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whiteford, they will challenge Britton Deerfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
