Baseball Game Preview: De Leon Bearcats vs. Coleman Bluecats

For the second straight game, De Leon will face off against Coleman. The Bearcats will take on the Bluecats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. De Leon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

De Leon will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Coleman, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bearcats came out on top against the Bluecats by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday.

Trenton Zmeskal made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Zmeskal was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Max Jones was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. De Leon is undefeated when Jones posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-6-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Adam Perez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

De Leon's record is now 11-6-1. As for Coleman, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.
