It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kingman/Norwich can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hesston Swathers by a score of 1-0 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, Kingman/Norwich's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Hesston's part, Elyse Griffin was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Griffin has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Griffin was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Griffin wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Justice Large, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
