Baseball Recap: Andrews Comes Up Short

Andrews had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 8-9-2 to make it four. They fell just short of the Georgetown Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Yellowjackets were not able to get on the board.

As for Georgetown, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Andrews since March 10, 2022.

For Georgetown's part, the result came thanks to Harrison Cameron's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

At the plate, Zack Krause was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrews will head out to face off against Waccamaw at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Georgetown, they will venture away from home to challenge Conway at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
