Softball Recap: Wayne County Comes Up Short

Wayne County lost against D'Iberville back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The War Eagles lost 9-1 to the Warriors. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Swindle, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Wayne County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for D'Iberville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Wayne County by a score of 10-1 later that day.
