Volleyball Recap: Melissa Extends Winning Streak to Four

Melissa had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Clifton Cubs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

Brooklynn Johnson-Love paced Melissa's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson-Love got some help from Presley Williford and her 17 assists. Kassie Van Pottelsberghe controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Melissa's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Clifton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-4 record.

Coming up, Melissa will head out to challenge Poteet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clifton, they will welcome Robinson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
