It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Stephenson had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets to the tune of 36-3. The win was familiar territory for the Jaguars who have now won eight games in a row.
Anthony Booker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 231 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also picking up 53 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run. Romando Craddock was another key player, rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Stephenson's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.4 points per game. As for Southeast Bulloch, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.
Stephenson will take on Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calhoun knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Stephenson likes a good challenge. Southeast Bulloch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
