Football Game Preview: Grandview Zebras vs. Commerce Tigers

Grandview has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Commerce has won five straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Zebras will welcome the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Grandview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Commerce likes a good challenge.

Grandview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Gladewater by a score of 55-42.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Commerce took on Pilot Point on Friday. The Tigers walked away with a 54-47 victory over the Bearcats.

Commerce's win came from a few key players Grandview will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aidan Brown, who threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 86 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was Ky'mani Graham, who rushed for 197 yards and one score while picking up 10.9 yards per carry.

Commerce was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 180 rushing yards in 16 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Grandview's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Commerce, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
