Basketball Recap: Hazlehurst Takes a Loss

Hazlehurst lost against Jefferson Davis County on January 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hazlehurst Indians were dealt a 60-21 defeat at the hands of the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Jaguars are ranked 80th).

Hazlehurst's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Jefferson Davis County, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Hazlehurst will square off against Crystal Springs at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Jefferson Davis County has already played their next game (against Hattiesburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
