Baseball Recap: Brooke Takes a Loss

Brooke suffered their closest defeat since April 12th on Thursday. They fell just short of the Toronto Red Knights by a score of 6-4.

Brooke got a good showing from Gavin Kuchinski, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Kuchinski hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in April.

At the plate, Aiden Provenzano made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Garrett Moore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Brooke's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Toronto, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Brooke will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Wheeling Park at 12:00 p.m. As for Toronto, they are taking a road trip to challenge Normandy at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
