Football Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lanier Voks. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly eight points.

Aiden Urdiales threw for 89 yards and one touchdown. Dylan Caffey was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards. On the ground, Michael Bejar rushed for 57 yards.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lanier, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 42-25 victory against Burbank on the 3rd. As for Lanier, they have also already played their next game, a 32-23 win against Highlands on the 2nd.
