Basketball Recap: Paradise Valley's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Paradise Valley had won two straight games and Neha Patel did her part to make it three on Friday. The Paradise Valley Trojans claimed a resounding 59-27 win over the Verrado Vipers thanks in part to Patel, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 22 points and five boards. The game was her fourth in a row with at least 22 points.

Another player making a difference was Olivia Kollie, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. What's more, she also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

Paradise Valley pushed their record up to 12-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.3 points. As for Verrado, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Coming up, Paradise Valley will venture away from home to challenge Carl Hayden Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Valley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 173 points over their last three contests. As for Verrado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Verrado is facing North Canyon at the right time seeing as North Canyon is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
