Basketball Game Preview: Satellite Scorpions vs. Bayside Bears

Two dominant guards in K'Dnce Cataldo and Omar Clarke are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Satellite Scorpions will challenge the Bayside Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Satellite escaped with a win against Eau Gallie by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.

Meanwhile, Bayside entered their tilt with Cocoa Beach on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the Minutemen to the tune of 65-36. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Minutemen are ranked 610th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Satellite's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Bayside, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Satellite came up short against Bayside in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 49-40. Can Satellite avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
