Volleyball Recap: Sheffield Comes Up Short

Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Phil Campbell Bobcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Sheffield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Ragan Moss, who had seven digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high. Amberlee Mays also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Sheffield's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Phil Campbell, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheffield will challenge Shoals Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Phil Campbell, they will square off against Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
