Softball Recap: St. Joseph Falls to Apollo Ridge in First Game of Season

St. Joseph unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Apollo Ridge Vikings on Monday, falling 20-0. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

The win was the third in a row for Apollo Ridge, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph will head out to face off against Highlands at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Apollo Ridge, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Apollo Ridge is facing Valley at the right time seeing as Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
