Highland is a perfect 10-0 against Foothill since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Highland Scots will venture away from home to take on the Foothill Trojans at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Highland is headed out to face Foothill after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Highland walked away with a 6-1 victory over Arvin on Wednesday. The Scots haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jacob Berumen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Berumen was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

In other batting news, Diego Hernandez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Highland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Foothill got the win against Kennedy on Wednesday by a conclusive 10-3.

Like Highland, Foothill also got a great game from a two-way player: Joaquin Carrillo. He struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carrillo was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Levi Price, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marcos Carbajal, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Highland beat Foothill 5-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Highland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Foothill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
